My Story

In my 20’s and 30’s I was in the best shape of my life. I swear, I would just think about working out and somehow I stayed fit and strong! LOL. At age 32 I got pregnant. My pregnancy was a breeze. I had gained a total of 25 pounds and my baby boy with 9 pounds of that.

My first year in motherhood was stressful to say the least. I was busy taking care of my son, but still remaining as active as I could. I maintained the same diet prior to pregnancy and was feeling great.

As I got closer to 40, something shifted. With the same workout routine and diet, I was noticing it was much harder to workout and my midsection started to change. I knew after pregnancy I couldn't possibly stay a size 2, but slowly my hips and midsection were pushing into a size 4, then 6.

As a personal trainer, my first instinct was to workout harder and continue to eat as clean as possible. To my surprise, I was not losing any weight, on the contrary, I was gaining weight. My weight gain was very slow. 2-3 pounds a year! Hard to notice but it was creeping up. I went from 125 pounds to 155 pounds in 10 years.

I even went to my OBGYN to ask for advice and got the “ well you are starting to enter perimenopause, not much you could do, just watch what you eat and exercise.” It made me so mad! I thought, lady, I have a degree in exercise science and a degree in food science. My job is to help clients reach their goals and now I can’t even reach my own.

So I set out to discover, "what is different in this phase of our lives?" I learned so much and as my own subject, I created the most comprehensive and easy to follow perimenopause weight loss program!

Now my mission is to help you lose that stubborn weight that has crept up on you so you can feel better about this stage in your life and take control of your body.
